Getting Started
How do I play?
Adopt an alien, then keep it fed, rested and happy from the Buddy tab. Explore planets on the Galaxy tab, complete quests for XP and credits, and spend credits in the Galactic Shop. The How to Play guide walks through everything.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s no sign-in, and everything is saved on your device.
Caring for Your Buddy
Why does my buddy’s mood keep changing?
Hunger drops over time, energy drops faster the longer your buddy stays awake, and happiness follows both. Feed them, let them rest, and use items from your backpack to keep all three bars up.
Which sleep should I choose?
A Cat Nap (30 seconds) gives a small energy boost, a Power Nap (2 minutes) gives more, and a Deep Sleep (5 minutes) fully recharges your buddy and earns the most XP. Longer sleeps make your buddy a little hungrier when they wake.
Where are the items I bought?
On the Items tab, in your backpack. Tap an item to use it on your buddy. If your buddy doesn’t need it yet, the item is kept for later.
Quests
A story is taking a long time to load.
Quest stories are written live and need an internet connection. Check you’re online and try again. If the story service can’t be reached, a standard story appears instead.
I finished a task but it still shows as open.
If you picked the RISKY option, it’s a 50/50 gamble: when it doesn’t pay off, the task stays open so you can try again.
Sound and Notifications
I can’t hear any sounds.
Galactic Buddies follows your iPhone’s silent switch. Turn silent mode off and check your volume.
I’m not getting reminders.
Check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Galactic Buddies, then check which reminders are switched on in the app (Profile → bell → gear icon).
Your Profile
How do I change my name, age, avatar or alien?
Go to Profile → Delete Profile and set up again. This resets all progress.
Will my progress transfer to a new phone?
Not yet. Progress is stored only on your current device and isn’t backed up to the cloud, so deleting the app also deletes your progress.
Face ID won’t let me in.
If Face ID fails, close and reopen the app to try again. Check that Galactic Buddies is allowed in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Other Apps.
