These terms apply to your use of the Galactic Buddies app, made by The Digital Bubble (“we”, “us”). By downloading or playing the app you agree to them. If you’re under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. Your Licence to Use the App
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Galactic Buddies on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by Apple’s Usage Rules. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if anything in these terms conflicts with it, Apple’s agreement applies to that point.
You may not copy, modify, sell or redistribute the app, or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows it.
2. The Game and Virtual Items
Galactic Buddies is free to play and has no in-app purchases. Galaxy credits, XP, items and levels are game features only. They have no real-world value, can’t be exchanged for money and aren’t your property. We may change game balance, items or features at any time.
Your progress is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, delete your profile or lose your device, your progress can’t be recovered.
3. AI-Generated Stories
Quest stories and some messages are created by an artificial intelligence service (Groq) while you play. We instruct it to write family-friendly sci-fi adventures, but because the text is generated automatically we can’t review every story in advance. Stories are fiction. If you see something inappropriate, please tell us at the contact below. The “risky” quest choice is a game mechanic using in-game rewards only; no money is ever involved.
4. Acceptable Use
Please don’t use the app in a way that breaks the law, interferes with how the app works, attempts to misuse the AI story service, or tries to access systems you’re not authorised to use.
5. Availability and Changes
We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature. Quest stories need an internet connection; if the story service is unavailable, the app shows a standard story instead. We don’t promise the app will always be available or free of errors.
6. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for loss of game progress or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app. Where our liability can’t be excluded but can be limited, it’s limited to supplying the app again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
8. Ending These Terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these terms.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
11. Apple
These terms are between you and The Digital Bubble, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support or any claims about it, and has no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
