Pocket Billions Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Pocket Billions is a “ghost investing” simulator — it lets you follow real stock prices and see what a simulated portfolio would have gained or lost, without any real money or real brokerage account involved. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have, including how to delete it.

Information We Collect

How We Use Your Information

We use the data described above solely to operate the app: to price and execute your simulated trades, run Automation Mode and Auto-Invest on your behalf, keep your portfolio synced across app launches, and (if enabled) send you Trade Alert push notifications.

Third-Party Sharing

To price your simulated trades and show current market data, the app's backend requests real-time and historical stock quotes from Tiingo, a third-party market data provider. Only stock ticker symbols are sent to Tiingo — never your anonymous identifier, portfolio contents, or any other information about you. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.

Data Storage & Security

Your anonymous account and portfolio data is stored in Amazon Web Services' Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region, using Amazon DynamoDB with AWS's default encryption at rest and point-in-time backup recovery enabled. Every request between the app and our backend is authenticated and cryptographically signed (AWS SigV4) using your device's anonymous credentials, so only your device can read or modify your own data.

Your Rights & Choices

Data Retention

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your anonymous identity remains active on our servers, or until you delete it via “Delete My Data” in Settings (or ask us to, per above).

Children's Privacy

Pocket Billions is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app doesn't collect names, emails, or any other personal information in the first place, we don't knowingly hold any children's personal data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app changes. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
