A head full of thought bubbles
The Digital B(u)bble didn’t begin as a business plan. It began as a crowd of thought bubbles: ideas about what digital could be, drifting around, bumping into one another, some popping almost as soon as they appeared and others refusing to go anywhere. They kept coming, and they kept asking to be explored.
Those ideas arrived at a time when a much larger bubble was swelling. The internet was growing faster than anyone could map it, pulling every industry, every screen and every everyday habit into its orbit. It was loud, exciting and full of promise, and it was impossible to ignore.
A bubble within a bubble
The name came from that contrast. Out in the world was the vast internet bubble. In here was a smaller, quieter one: a personal bubble of curiosity about how all of this digital change could be shaped, designed and made genuinely useful. The Digital Bubble became the space where those ideas could float freely for a while, before being caught, examined and turned into something real.
Anything digital
From the start, the bubble had no fixed edges. It held anything that captured the imagination of the digital age:
Digital creative, and the craft of telling stories visually on a screen.
Content, and the way words, images and video find their audience online.
Applications, and the software that turns an idea into a tool people reach for every day.
UX and UI, the thinking and design that make those tools clear, intuitive and enjoyable to use.
Human interaction, the most basic question of all: how people live, work and play alongside the technology of the digital age.
Put all of that together and you have The Digital Bubble: not one discipline, but the space where they all meet.
Still b(u)bbling
The internet has long outgrown the bubble it once was, and so have we. The thought bubbles have become designs, content and apps that people download and use. But the approach hasn’t changed. Every project still starts as a thought bubble. It’s given room to rise, then shaped with care into something people will use and enjoy.
That’s what b(u)bbling means to us: the moment an idea starts to rise. If you have one of your own, we’d love to hear it.
