These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Oikosly mobile application ("Oikosly", "the App") and any related website (together, "the Service"), provided by The Digital Bubble ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Oikosly, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Oikosly lets you search any Australian address to view publicly available information about the surrounding neighbourhood, including population and housing statistics, crime and safety figures, nearby development applications, suburb boundaries, and electorate information. This information is sourced from third-party government and public data providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Oikosly is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional real estate, legal, financial, planning, or safety advice. Nothing in the App constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, lease, or otherwise deal with any property, and you should not rely on it as your sole source of information when making decisions about a property or area. Always verify important information — particularly crime statistics, development applications, and demographic data — directly with the relevant council, police service, or government agency before relying on it.
Oikosly displays data sourced from third parties, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), PSMA/Digital Atlas of Australia, state and territory police services, state and local government planning portals, and PlanningAlerts.org.au (a service of the OpenAustralia Foundation). We do not create, verify, or control this underlying data.
We make reasonable efforts to source and present this data accurately, but we do not guarantee that any information in the App is current, complete, or error-free. Coverage varies by state and territory — some data (particularly crime statistics and development applications) may not be available for every address, and where data isn't published by the relevant authority, we simply don't show it rather than estimate or guess. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or delays in third-party data, or for any decisions made in reliance on it.
You agree to use Oikosly only for lawful purposes. You must not:
The Oikosly app, its design, branding, and original content are owned by The Digital Bubble and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Underlying data sourced from government and third-party providers remains the property of, and subject to the licence terms of, those respective providers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App itself without our prior written permission.
Oikosly does not currently require you to create an account, and does not process payments or subscriptions. If this changes in future, these Terms will be updated accordingly and you'll be notified through the App or App Store listing.
We aim to keep Oikosly available and working correctly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The App depends on third-party data sources and services (including Apple Maps and various government APIs) that are outside our control and may be unavailable or changed at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Digital Bubble excludes all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of, or inability to use, Oikosly, or from your reliance on any information presented in it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
We may suspend or restrict your access to the App if we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
