Jarvis5.0 Support

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the App need camera access?

Jarvis5.0's entire experience is built around your live camera feed — the animated targeting reticle, object scanning, and diagnostic readouts are all generated from what the camera sees, processed on your device. Without camera access, the App can't function. You can grant or revoke this anytime in Settings → Jarvis5.0 → Camera.

Why does the App ask for microphone and speech recognition access?

After a high threat-level alert, the App listens briefly (about 8 seconds) for a spoken “yes” or “no” so it can react accordingly. If you decline microphone/speech access, everything else in the App still works — you just won't be able to use the voice-response feature, and the App will treat that alert as unanswered.

Is the “threat level” and “contact authorities” feature real?

No. Everything Jarvis5.0 shows — diagnostic readouts, environment/system telemetry, and threat-level narration — is simulated for entertainment. The App never analyzes real security conditions and never contacts real emergency services or authorities, regardless of what you answer. If you have an actual emergency, use your device's normal phone functionality to contact real emergency services.

Does the App record or save my camera footage or voice?

No. Camera frames and any brief audio captured for voice responses are processed in the moment and are never saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is this app affiliated with Marvel, Iron Man, or Disney?

No. Jarvis5.0 is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Marvel, Disney, or any related rights holder.

The camera preview is black or not showing anything.

Camera access requires a physical device — it won't show a live feed in the iOS Simulator. On a real device, check that camera permission is granted in Settings → Jarvis5.0 → Camera, and that no other app is currently using the camera.

I'm not hearing any sound effects or voice lines.

Check the in-app sound toggle (the ON/OFF pill near the bottom of the screen) — if it's set to OFF, all chimes and voice lines are muted. Also check your device's silent switch and volume; some system sounds respect the silent switch differently than app audio.

The reticle isn't locking onto anything automatically.

Automatic scanning only runs in Active targeting mode — check the targeting mode pill (IDLE/ACTIVE) near the bottom of the screen. You can also always tap anywhere on screen to manually lock the reticle onto that spot, in either mode.

How do I learn more about how the App works?

Tap the small circular info button above the camera mode pill (bottom-left of the screen) to open an in-app guide covering how the scanning, targeting, and voice-response features work.
