BopVid Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 17, 2026

The Short Version

BopVid doesn’t collect any personal information. There’s no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your videos, recordings and music choices stay on your iPhone, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else unless you choose to share a video.

This policy is from The Digital Bubble, the developer of BopVid, and explains what the App uses on your device and why.

What BopVid Accesses, and Why

BopVid asks iOS for permission before using any of these, and you can change your choices any time in Settings → BopVid.

Access What it’s used for Where it goes
Camera Recording video Stays on your iPhone
Microphone Recording sound with your video, and Echo Cancel Stays on your iPhone
Media & Apple Music Choosing songs to play while you record and to edit into your video Songs are read on your iPhone; a temporary copy may be kept in the App’s cache for editing
Photos (add only) Saving finished videos to your library BopVid can add videos but can’t see your other photos

All recording, editing and exporting happens on your device. Unsaved takes and temporary files are deleted when you discard a take or finish editing, and iOS may clear the App’s cache at any time. Deleting BopVid removes everything it stored.

Sharing to Other Apps

When you tap Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, TikTok or the share sheet, BopVid passes that one video to the app you chose, using iOS’s standard sharing. From then on, that app’s privacy policy applies. BopVid never sends your videos anywhere on its own.

Children

BopVid doesn’t collect information from anyone, including children. Because the App can share videos to social apps, younger users should use it with a parent or guardian, and follow each social app’s age rules.

Your Rights

We hold no personal information about you, so there’s nothing for us to access, correct or delete. This approach is designed to meet the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA. In the App Store, BopVid is listed as Data Not Collected.

Changes to This Policy

If a future version of BopVid starts collecting any information, for example crash reports, we’ll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before it does, and change the date at the top.
